CORONA DEL MAR

CORONA DEL MAR…AN OVERVIEW- Translated from Spanish to English is “Crown of the Sea”. A casual beach community with a great deal of character; the community is split into two sections; north of PCH and south of PCH. The residential properties are made up of duplexes, condos and single- family homes. Adding to the impressive charm of this beautiful neighborhood, streets were named alphabetically after flowers, from MacArthur Blvd. and PCH through Poppy Avenue. Many homes have magnificent ocean views, but most are just located on charming tree lined streets with a short walk to the beach, dining, shopping, and even popular nightspots. It is famous for it’s spectacular annual Sand Castle Contest, which takes place every September!

NEIGHBORHOODS OF CORONA DEL MAR

OCEAN BLVD. - Single family custom residential properties, each of the homes here overlook Inspiration Point, Corona del Mar State Beach, The Wedge, Balboa Peninsula, Catalina Island, Long Beach and Palos Verdes.

INSPIRATION POINT- This small number of impressive and very elite residential properties is perched along a stretch of cliff overlooking Corona del Mar State Beach, with Ocean Blvd. homes as their backdrop. The vantage point from these homes, offer forever panorama views of the beach below, and the same amazing ocean views as their Ocean Blvd. neighbors just above them. This area is considered among the highest priced coastal properties in Orange County. Expect to pay several million and up for one of these properties.

IRVINE TERRACE - Located across the street from Newport Beach Country Club off PCH. Some of the homes are situated along the bluff directly above Bayside Drive and have beautiful views of Balboa Island and Newport Harbor. For the past several years, this well-established and desirable neighborhood has continued to take on a major transformation with many homes being completely rebuilt or undertaking major renovation.

CAMEO SHORES - Without a doubt, truly the “Crown Jewel” of Corona del Mar which translated to English is Crown of the Sea. Approximately 177 terraced oversized lots, with some of the most amazing picturesque views, including the ocean, Buck Gully Canyon looking toward Newport Coast, and Pelican Hills Golf Course. In a more quite and remote area, homeowners enjoy beautiful parks, and private gated access to secluded cove beaches. Surprisingly, they have one of the lowest monthly HOA dues within the orange county coastal areas. Quite simply, one of the most gorgeous exclusive communities of Orange County’s “Gold Coast”!

CAMEO HIGHLANDS - Originally an upscale tract home community but most have now been customized; there are approximately 142 single-family homes here. Located on the southern edge of Corona del Mar, this lovely community meets up with Pelican Hill Gold Club and Crystal Cove State Park. Due to its terraced terrain and city building code restriction limiting the homes to single story, most properties enjoy beautiful frontal ocean views.

SPYGLASS HILL - 349 homes rest on a ridge in Corona del Mar. This is a beautiful and peaceful community, where many of the homes offer distant views of Newport’s harbor, the islands, main channel jetty and sailboats on the horizon. Close to schools, shopping, fine dining, cultural centers, movie theatres and easy freeway access.
